Get ready for some of the same as Tim Slade got by being honest.

In this video, Tim Slade states, clarifies, and stands on his remarks, this week, re: Storyline Articulate vs AI. To be ironically, unfunnily obtuse, let’s just say, Tim dropped bombs. (Let’s also never say and or write “Let’s just say” again. Egads, homie!) Anyhoodie, here’s a pull quote from Tim Slade dated June 12, 2026
n his eLearning channel

Slade continues, I stand by all that

I stand by everything that I shared and I have shared over the last few weeks about my thoughts on um how flawed slidebased authoring tools are. um how little Articulate has uh done to innovate on their suite of tools and how much I do think AI and tools like Claudedo threaten what uh uh articulate and and what storyline the purpose it serves within our industry.

Tim reacts to reactions to his hot-and-salty take on Storyline Articulate as compared to or relation to Antrhopic’s Claude Code, Design and suite. Slade notices, with a thoughtful side glance, how some ID luminaries or purists perhaps “reacted with…a maybe their emotions first; maybe not their logic, first.” Tim Slade appeals as interested in the brusk and brittle responses from seemingly thoughtful instructional designers. He was also, apparently deemed unqualified to even share an opinion. The audacity!

Quick take: Storyline Articulate is driven by a user base of sedentary resistors who have invested too much to be disloyal. Both platforms, Storyline Articulate and Adobe Captivate have bloated, drill-down, web 1.0 UI. The tool feel slow. They are and have been devoid of JOY between design and delivery. This is expected from Storyline Articulate. They have been doing this since dongle days. The sad part is they don’t realize there is a real disconnect between raw, fresh creators who feel shunned by a software company. Come on…that’s wild. Love ya TS for the rarified and clarified hot-stand-on-business take. Power to you.
